Our History
George and Angelina Kanell started Kanell's Grocery in 1918. George pushed a horse-drawn vegetable cart in the beginning. Their 6th child, Plato opened Kanell's TV with his brother, Ernie in 1948 and 60 years later we are still providing quality furnishings to our customers. $99 Furniture Outlet was established in 2007 by Kim Kanell Nielsen and Lynda Potter after making the hard decision to change the focus of the 60 year family business, then Kanell's Custom Furniture. 60 years of experience has served us well and we have changed to a more modern and funky look. In today's tough economy, the work ethic passed down from Grandma Kanell is invaluable. We are very proud to continue the tradition of hard work and strong ethics in this new fun adventure.
